Material Flow Controller

To realize the logic and automation of the sterilization process, an IT application has been developed that processes existing information from the Hospital Information System (HIS) and converts it into various logical processes.

The available information (such as network information, workplace information, etc.) is converted by the Material Flow Controller (MFC) into digital logic for the automation process. The MFC software layer is called the Level 2 software. From this intelligent software layer, information is exchanged both with the operating system of the CSA facility and with third-party machines or installations such as washing machines or sterilizers (level 1 software) and with an overlying HIS system (such as ChipSoft/HiX/Epic). The upper software layer is referred to as Level 3 software (see diagram below).
